Cumulative Project

This is my cumulative project. I used horizontal type mask tool for my name and pattern overlay for photo-illusionist. The background is made from multiple gradients. The rest is just old projects.

Color Wheel 2

Same thing as the other color wheel but with different stencil (no idea why its kangaroos) and photos i took (by rotating my computer in a circle and using the webcam)

Inside Out

This is the inside out of Nikola Tesla. Got some stuff in his head that he contributed too or represents his accomplishments.

alternate ego thing

I made myself into a superhero. I outlined myself and filled it in to make it look like a comic then gave myself some superhero-ish accessories. I made some Master Yi inspired night vision goggles, a cape, and some mighty pauldrons. BAM superhero

Double Down Advertisment

The Double Down: Where sandwich meets luxury
I love the double down. It's like a sandwich but with massive pieces of fried chicken instead of bread so you can get more of the most important food group, greasy meat. I used some fancy text and used the drop shadow tool or something to make a reflection type thing on the background from the text.

This is conjoined by Roxy Paine. It is a sculpture in Madison Square Park. I thought it was interesting because the sculpture is trying to replicate an organic object using stainless steel. It looks very realistic despite the small margin of error available when working with such materials.

Kaleidoscope

This assignment required us to create a comic by assembling a series of photos and them comicisizing them.

chair shadow

For this we made a chair and put a new pattern on it and used drop shadow to make it look like their was an actual shadow. It looks like a chair so i guess it turned out okay. The thing i don't like was that the drop shadow doesn't look much like a shadow mostly because the shadow doesn't meet the object where it touches the ground.

midterm

3x3

This is a picture where we had to create a 3x3 image of ourselves and apply different filters and such to make something cool. I just used my favorites filters. It was very similar to the 2x2 project that we did. If i changed something i would distort the pictures even more and maybe reorient them.

4 Square

This assignment required that we take a single image repeated in four squares and modified so that each image was slightly different. I did this mostly through the filters which have some pretty cool effects. The first one is of a hotdog. All the images have been modified with some filter and transformed so they form and X. The second is of a shark, which is way scarier than a bear. I think it looks cool, especially the glowing edges effect. The shark one could use some more variety.

Visual Puns

In this assignment we had to create a visual pun. I chose several which i thought would be entertaining to make, chocolate mousse, deviled egg, killer bee, and play on words. I wasn't very inspired by anything, they were just the images I imagined when i thought of the phrase. I like how they turned out and just wish i found a more efficient way of making the block letters in play on words.

silhouette stuff

I wasn't exactly sure what i was supposed to do in this assignment, but i knew it involved words an silhouettes and at least one of them had to be about us. I was inspired by power rangers and winning which go together like peanut butter and jelly. I should have spent more time on this and warped the words which i would do now but i would have to delete this and then delete the jpeg and open the original and warp it and then save it then save it as a jpeg and reload it and type more stuff.

hybrid

This assignment required that we take various images and make a hybrid. Like most of the class I thought an animal would be very cool.  I started with the head of a wolf and went from there, adding animals that i thought matched with it. I was kind of inspired by several mythical animals (werewolf, minotaur). I like my animal but I had trouble deciding if i should use the wings or not.

green image

In this assignment we were given 15 green images and had to make a picture using only by modifying the given images. I decided the best way to make a not lame picture would be to try to make it sort of realistic rather than abstract. I'm happy with the way it turned out and think everything looks good, however i would have put the car on the street in the back if i did it again.

Music Assignment

In this assignment we had to use a set of given layers and alter them to create a unique picture. I looked around in photoshop for cool tools and found a way to apply them like the interesting brushes with the eraser. I'm pretty satisfied with the result and wouldn't do much differently.
